A spicy aromatic tea blend made by brewing black tea with a mixture of aromatic Indian spices and herbs in a large pot. Literally “mixed-spice tea”, masala chai is spicy, sweet and invigorating.
Our traditional masala chai blend includes ginger, fennel, cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, pepper and single estate assam black tea. Each pack makes 2L of delicious spicy chai.
1L full-cream dairy milk or soy milk
1 pack S+S chai spice (included)
1 pack S+S assam tea (included)
1/ Add to water and milk to a saucepan and heat over medium-high heat.
2/ Bruise spices and add to pot.
3/ Bring to the boil and simmer for 15 minutes.
3/ Turn off heat, add tea and steep for a further 2 minutes.
4/ Strain and sweeten with honey to taste.
5/ Store in refrigerator and reheat as required
