Chinese Five Spice Barbecue Pork
500g pork belly slices, skin removed
3 garlic cloves, crushed with salt
1⁄2 tsp fresh ginger, finely grated
1 tbsp light soy sauce
1 tbsp honey
1 tbsp shaoxing
1 tsp Spice Oddity Chinese Five spice
1/ Preheat oven to 220°C.
2/ Combine all ingredients in a bowl and toss to coat pork.
3/ Allow to marinate for at least 15 minutes.
4/ Half fill the bottom of a roasting tray with water and place a wire rack over the tray.
5/ Place the pork on the rack and cook for 30 minutes.
6/ Turn pork and brush with remaining marinade and cook for a further 15 minutes.
7/ Serve with rice, stir-fried greens and plum sauce
